2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

This dessert is Allergen Free and Vegan

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (6 ounces) water
  • 8 ounces Chocolate (70% Bittersweet – dairy free chocolate you love)
  • ice cubes
  • plant based whipping cream for topping (optional)
  • dairy-free chocolate shavings for garnish

Method

  1. Chop or break the chocolate into small sized pieces and put it on top of  a water bath or Baine Marie (a saucepan with hot water, on top of which you place a bowl for the chocolate to melt). Add the water in the pan as well.  When the chocolate melts completely and the water has mixed well and has the consistency of a sauce, remove from heat.
  2. Now place saucepan in a bowl partly filled with ice-cubes then whisk the chocolate sauce, manually with a whisk.  Whisking creates large air bubbles in the sauce, which steadily thickens.  pour or spoon immediately into small bowls or jars and let set.
  3. Serve immediately, or refrigerate.  You can serve this as you wish.  At times I serve with some dairy-free whipped cream and some chocolate shavings or simply with some berries. Although my son enjoys it most just like that!
