2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse
This dessert is Allergen Free and Vegan
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (6 ounces) water
- 8 ounces Chocolate (70% Bittersweet – dairy free chocolate you love)
- ice cubes
- plant based whipping cream for topping (optional)
- dairy-free chocolate shavings for garnish
Method
- Chop or break the chocolate into small sized pieces and put it on top of a water bath or Baine Marie (a saucepan with hot water, on top of which you place a bowl for the chocolate to melt). Add the water in the pan as well. When the chocolate melts completely and the water has mixed well and has the consistency of a sauce, remove from heat.
- Now place saucepan in a bowl partly filled with ice-cubes then whisk the chocolate sauce, manually with a whisk. Whisking creates large air bubbles in the sauce, which steadily thickens. pour or spoon immediately into small bowls or jars and let set.
- Serve immediately, or refrigerate. You can serve this as you wish. At times I serve with some dairy-free whipped cream and some chocolate shavings or simply with some berries. Although my son enjoys it most just like that!
