A food safety consultancy has won a national award for its work to improve allergen standards.
The consultancy supports hospitality, healthcare and food service businesses in managing allergens to protect people with food allergies, coeliac disease and intolerances.
Caroline Benjamin, founder of Food Allergy Aware, said: “Receiving this award is an incredible honor, but more importantly it shines a spotlight on why allergen safety matters.
“Every improvement we make, every member of staff we train and every business that strengthens its allergen management has the potential to prevent a life-changing or life-threatening incident.”
Ms Benjamin dedicated the award to Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, Sadie Bristow, Benedict Blythe, Owen Carey, Hannah Jacobs and Cameron Wahid.
