The BBC’s Apprentice programme has highlighted an issue that has faced many people with food allergies or dietary requirements. The episode which aired week beginning 18th November 2019 had the teams involved in organising a corporate away day onboard a Belmond British Pullman Train.
Although the team involved had asked the questions about dietary requirements prior to the guests boarding the train, they had not considered what they would offer the Gluten Free passenger in their planning of their menu for the day. Therefore when they were preparing to serve the food the issue was highlighted and all they had to offer the passenger was a fruit salad as a main meal.
