Restaurant Supplied With Peanut Powder in Error

Random sampling, carried out by Southend-on-Sea’s Environmental Health Department led to the prosecution of a London-based cash and carry that supplied peanut powder labelled as almond to a restaurant and has been ordered to pay over £6,000 fines and costs.

The error occurred when an almond mix label was wrongly applied to a box which contained peanut powder.
